SUNY Broome ended their two-game skid with a 3-1 win against Davis College on Thursday night in a non-conference volleyball match played in Johnson City. The Hornets won the first two sets before the Falcons took the third to force a fourth set. Broome clinched the win in the fourth. Set scores 25-15, 25-20, 19-25, 25-15.
Taylor Hessler (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) led the team in assists with 26. Camre Compeau (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) contributed 10 kills and Lauren Carpenter had 10 aces and 26 digs. Kaitlin Manley (Willet, NY/Cincinnatus) totaled 9 blocks.
This Saturday the ladies travel to Watertown, NY for their first POD tournament of the season. Tournament play begins at 10:00 A.M., Broome will face Jefferson CC, Cayuga CC and Onondaga CC.
