The volleyball team hosted Tompkins Cortland CC Wednesday night in the West Gym and swept the visitors to improve their record to 5-3 on the year. The set scores for the night were 25-15, 25-11, 25-7.
Kaitlin Manley (Willet, NY/Cincinnatus) contributed 13 kills and 2 blocks on the night. Lauren Carpenter (Vestal, NY/Maine-Endwell) had 12 digs and Ni'esa Davidson (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) added 28 assists. The Hornets had a great serving night with Manley having 5 aces, Davidson with 5, and Sara Nogaret (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) with 3.
Broome travels to Utica this Saturday for Mohawk Valley's POD tournament. The Hornets will face Herkimer College, Mohawk Valley and Fulton Montgomery.
