Volleyball Keeps Unblemished Record Intact

Volleyball hosted their home POD this weekend and picked up three more wins to improve to 10-0 on the year.  In the opener, Broome defeated Mohawk Valley by set scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-11.  Mckenzi Donahue led the offense with 8 kills while Rayna Pouliot added 7 with a hitting percentage of .538.  Brianna Kosinski totaled 29 assists and outside hitter, Mackinzie Mee had a total of 4 aces.  Alyssa Hovey led the defense with 14 digs and Paige Taylor chipped in with 5 blocks.

The second match of the day went much the same way for the host team, defeating Herkimer College in straight sets, 25-18, 25-12 and 25-11.  Donahue led in kills with 9 while teammate Hannah Brown added 8 kills on 10 attempts for a hitting percentage of .800.  Kosinski led the team in four statistical categories with 33 assists, 6 aces, 13 digs and 3 blocks.

Broome picked up their third win of the day by way of a forfeit by Fulton Montgomery CC.

The Hornets hit the road next Wednesday for a MSAC matchup against Jefferson CC in Watertown, set one scheduled to begin at 6:00 P.M.
