The women's volleyball team advanced to the 2018 NJCAA Division III Volleyball Championship in Rochester, Minnesota after sweeping Finger Lakes in the Region III A Championship match.  The tournament, held on November 8th-10th at the UCR Regional Sports Center, marks the first time since 1984 that Broome has won the Region III championship to advance to national tournament.

On Sunday in the championship match, the Hornets defeated the Lakers in a straight set sweep with set scores 25-16, 25-16, 25–19.  During the match, Mackinzie Mee led the offense with 13 kills while Rayna Pouliot added 8, Brianna Kosinski totaled 33 assists, Mckenzi Donahue led in digs with 19 and Paige Taylor had 6 blocks. 

On Saturday, Broome went 2-1 in Pool B play in the tournament hosted by Niagara County CC in Sanborn, NY.  During the first match of the day, Broome went 3-0 against Erie with set scores of 25-15,34-32, 28-26.  Pouliot led the offense with 12 kills, Kosinski had 37 assists and 3 aces, Taylor had a season high hitting percentage of .692 with 9 kills on 13 attempts and added 6 blocks, Mee had 9 kills and 15 digs and Donahue also added 15 digs.  The second match of the day was a 3–0 win against Genesee with set scores of  25-22, 25-15, 25-22.  Pouliot led in kills with 8 and Hannah Brown chipped in with 7 kills and 3 blocks, Kosinski had 27 assists and 2 aces, Alyssa Hovey led with 14 digs, Taylor had 7 blocks and Donahue had 2 solo blocks.  Broome went 1-2 against Jefferson with set scores of 18-25, 18-25, 25-20.  Pouliot had 7 kills, Donahue also had 7 kills to go along with her 3 aces, Kosinski had 27 assists, Hovey added 22 digs and Taylor chipped in with 8 blocks.

Prior to pool play on Saturday, Kosinski and Mee were names to the All-Region team and Coach Maegen Eddinger was named the Region III Coach of the Year. 
 
After Sunday's championship matches Mee, Pouliot and Taylor were named to the All-tournament Team and Kosinski was named Tournament MVP.
