#8 Broome Falls To #5 Jefferson

Two of the NJCAA's nationally ranked teams met Wednesday night in the West Gym with #8 Broome coming up short, falling to #5 Jefferson 3-0.  The Cannoneers swept the Hornets by set scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 25-19.  Prior to the match Broome recognized 2nd year players, Jessica Dye and Brianna Kosinski for their efforts and dedication over the past two seasons.

Savannah Davis has 15 kills, Kosinski totaled 28 assists, Alexandra Bachura had 3 blocks, and Dye led the defense with 21 digs.  Broome fell to 10-3 overall; 4-1 MSAC and Jefferson improved to 13-1 overall; 4-0 MSAC.

The Hornets will travel to Johnstown this Saturday for a POD hosted by Fulton Montgomery where they will face the host team, Herkimer College and Mohawk Valley CC.
