Volleyball Goes 2-1 In Home POD

Broome swept both North Country CC and Hudson Valley CC on Saturday before falling to SUNY Adirondack in their home POD.  

During the first match of the day the Hornets won 3-0 with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-12.  Savannah Davis, Kylee Cunningham and Madison Hadfield had 8 kills apiece, Brianna Kosinski had 33 assists and 7 aces, and Alexandra Bachura tallied 3 blocks.  Jessica Dye led the defense with 9 digs.

The second match of the day was another straight set win, this one against the Vikings from Hudson Valley by scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-16.  Davis had 14 kills and 10 digs, and Kosinski had 33 assists to go with her 6 aces.

The final match of the day was a five set loss to SUNY Adirondack with set scores of 21-25, 25-6, 23-25, 25-18, 13-15.  Davis had 20 kills and 28 digs, Cunningham had 5 aces and 19 digs, and Kosinski had 39 assists and 24 digs.  Madison Hadfield chipped in with 6 blocks.

Broome is 15-5 on the season and are off now until next weekend when they will travel to Dryden and take part in the Tompkins Cortland POD and face Niagara County, Erie and Jamestown.
