Broome Makes It Three In A Row

The men's basketball team defeated Schenectady County CC for their third straight win, 76-71, on Wednesday night in the Baldwin Gymnasium.  The Hornets never trailed in the game, they jumped out to an early 10 point lead within the first 5 minutes of the contest.  The Royals  would make it interesting down the stretch as they cut the lead to 3 with under a minute left, but late stops and made free throws sealed the game for Broome.

The Hornets scoring efforts were led by Tron Smith, who finished with 17 points, in addition to 3 assists and 3 steals.  Travis Kraack put in 14 points with four made 3s, and added 5 rebounds.  Christian Sage also scored in double figures with 11, to go with 5 assists and 2 steals.  Shane Callaway once again anchored the defense with with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Fidel Brock dished out 5 more assists.
 
Broome improved to 4-3 overall; 4-0 in Region III and head to Herkimer College on Saturday for a 3:00 P.M. contest against the Generals.
