Catonsville opened the scoring before Broome went on a 4 goal run to give the Hornets a 4-1 lead. Catonsville countered to tie the game at 5 and took an 8-5 lead into into halftime. Broome came out strong in the second half outscoting their opponents 12-4 sealing the Hornets 17-12 victory.
Jerine Klingberg (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) led Broome with 14 draw controls, 4 goals and 2 assists, Kristen Land (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had 6 goals, Kelcie Marshall (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott), Gina Edwards (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) and Jenn Gavula (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) had 2 goals apiece and Sara Bulman (Vestal, NY/Vestal) added a goal to round out the scoring. Alyssa Kunzman had a strong performance in goal with 13 saves.
Broome will play in Maryland again this Sunday against Ann Arundel CC at 10:00 am
