The men's lacrosse team turned in an 11-7 victory in their home opener over Hudson Valley CC on Saturday afternoon at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium. The Hornets led 6-5 at the half before outscoring the Vikings 5-2 in the second. Jack Felter (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) paced Broome with 4 goals and 2 assists. Dylan Affatato (Endwell, NY/Maine Endwell) and Ryan Beauregard (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) each had 2 goals and an assist in the second half to preserve the win for Broome. Tyler Pickett (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) had 17 stops in goal for the Hornets while Viking goalkeeper Andy Reily stopped 12 of Broome's shots. Eric Halek had 4 goals to lead Hudson Valley.

Up next for the Hornets is a 4:00 p.m. contest against Monroe CC this Wednesday at home.
