The men's basketball team fell at home on Wednesday night to Onondaga CC, Region III's highest scoring team, by a score of 82-51. Broome was able to hold the Lazers under their scoring average of 96.7 points per game but was unable to score enough to keep pace with the visitors. After a late first half run by Onondaga, the Hornets found themselves in a 24 point hole at halftime, 43-19. Broome would open the second half with a surge that cut the lead under 20, but it was unable to be sustained and Onondaga would close with the 31 point victory.

Jalin Pitts was a presence throughout the night for the Hornets, grabbing 22 rebounds and blocking 4 shots to go along with his 8 points. K-Cie Salmon and Jeremiah Williams also added 8 points each while backcourt mate Seth Roselle, Jr contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds and Eginhard Jean-Philippe added 4 points with 7 rebounds.

The Hornets take a break from games until after the Holidays, returning to action on Thursday, January 6th. They will travel to FInger Lakes CC for a MSAC matchup at 7:30 P.M.
