The men's soccer team suffered their second defeat in as many days during day two of The Herkimer Invitational, falling 2-1 in OT to Mercyhurst North East on Saturday afternoon. Broome opened up the scoring with a brilliant curled shot from Elliot Booth, assisted by Nazar Fedorchuk. Unfortunately, in the latter stages of the game Broome conceded a crucial goal to end the game at 1 goal apiece. The Saints grabbed the winner in overtime to send the Hornets home at 0-2 to start the young season. Adam Burns had 10 saves in the losing effort.
Broome heads back out on the road this Wednesday for a MSAC match against Corning CC for an afternoon kick-off beginning at 4:30 P.M.
