The men's track and field team participated in the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite over the weekend and saw multiple team members reach new heights.

Last weekend at SUNY Geneseo, David Akulis finished in 5th place in the high jump and set a new school record at 1.78 meters. This weekend in Utica, Akulis broke his own record, earning a new personal record and school record with 1.84 meters, which gave him 3rd place in the event.

Thomas Eccleston came in at 5th place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.11, which is his season best. In the 400 meter hurdles, Eccleston ran 1:07.84, which qualifies him for the Region III Championship meet. He also finished in 11th place for the high jump at 1.74 meters, which was also a Regionals-qualifying result.

Dandre James achieved a season-best time in the 100 meter dash with 11.77 seconds. He also placed 12th overall in the long jump with 6.10 meters, and 3rd place in the triple jump with a distance of 12.68 meters. Connor Vredenburgh placed 7th overall in the discus with a measurement of 33.66 meters. This result breaks his previous personal record and school record in the event which he set last week at SUNY Geneseo.
