The men's cross country team came 2nd at the Steven Warde Invitational on Saturday, hosted by SUNY Cobleskill. The Hornets placed second in the field of seven with SUNY Cobleskill taking the top spot in the 8K run.
Four Broome runners finished in the top 20 in the field of 83 led by Lucas Baker finishing 7th with a time of 29:06.03, followed by Conner Smith (30:06.68) for a 12th place finish, Jakob Getchell (30:16.91) right behind in the 13th spot and Eric DeHart (31:21.44) good enough for a the 20th spot.
Next Saturday the Hornets will travel to Canandaigua for the Bridgeman Invitational hosted by Finger Lakes CC.
