Both the men and the women opened up their season at the Vassar Invitational on Friday evening in Poughkeepsie and proceeded to set ten school records in all.
Four school records were broken on the women's side:
Megan Carden in the 200m - 30.15
Mariella Michitti in the 400m - 1.07.51
Aja Jackson in the 1500m - 5:10.55
Jackson, Michitti, Lawrence, both Cardens and Velez Mattiace all qualified for Nationals.
Six school records were broken on the men's side:
Connor Smith in the 5000m - 15:24.09
Thomas Eccleston in the 110m Hurdles - 18.57
Dandre James in the Triple Jump - 12.52M
Yaman Oklla in the discus - 28.04M
Yaman Oklla in the Shot Put - 11.48M
Aiden Hollenbeck in the Pole Vault - 3.80M
Smith and Hollenbeck both qualified for Nationals
