Jackson Qualifies For Nationals, Women Set Personal Bests

The women's track and field team attended the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite over the weekend and reached multiple season-best results.

Aja Jackson ran the 5,000 meter race in a time of 19:47.27, which was good for 3rd place overall in the event. As a result, Jackson qualified for both the Region III Championship and NJCAA National Championship meets in that event.

Riley Precourt set a personal record with a time of 32.6 seconds in the 200 meter dash. She also ran the 400 meter dash at 1:20.98, and she reached 4.99 meters on the shot put.

Ava Schiff set a season-best time in the 100 meter hurdles with 19.06 seconds. Schiff also placed 9th overall in the triple jump with a distance of 9.25 meters. She logged 3.81 meters in the long jump, and 8.02 meters in the shot put.

Results

The team will be in action again this weekend at SUNY Cortland.
