Members of the athletics department and campus community celebrated the SUNY Broome competitive cheer program on Monday as six high school athletes signed their letter of intent to join the program in the fall.
The signing day, hosted in the Baldwin Gymnasium on the campus of SUNY Broome, was a success and a big step in the process of building the program as it brought together the team's current members and its newest recruits, as pictured above.
The 2025 recruiting class thus far taps into the promising talent in the local area. All six signees are from nearby high schools.
Aubrey Snyder is from Chenango Valley High School, Kiana Backus is from Binghamton High School, Kaylie Cox is from Johnson City High School, Carley Gabriel is from Union-Endicott High School, and Allyson Stauder and Lyla Marie LaBour are from Tioga High School.
All athletes expressed that they are thankful for the opportunity and excited to get to know all members of the program. They are especially eager to learn more about competitive cheer and get to work on their routines.
SUNY Broome Athletics is excited to welcome these six student-athletes to SUNY Broome and to the competitive cheer team this upcoming fall!
