Women's Basketball Team Falls To Nation's 3rd Ranked Team
The women's basketball team opened their season on the road against Mohawk Valley CC and fell 83-39 Wednesday night in Utica.
The women's basketball team opened their season on the road against Mohawk Valley CC and fell 83-39 Wednesday night in Utica. The Hornets got out to a 13-11 lead after the 1st quarter behind the offensive efforts of Jessica Shear (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) and Lucille Dellos (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) but it was all Hawks from there highlighted by a 35-point 2nd quarter. Dellos and Shear led Broome with 10 points apiece and Lydia Ladd (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) came off the bench and added 9 points.
SUNY Broome will host Schenectady County CC on Saturday and Fulton-Montgomery CC on Sunday with both games scheduled to tip-off at 1:00 P.M.
