Aja Jackson delivered an incredible 6th place overall finish out of 98 runners on Saturday.
Jackson ran to a time of 20:08.60 which was by far her season best. Jackson finished only two places and 10 seconds behind Amelia Bowman-McCoy of Herkimer, who was the 2023 Region III women's cross country champion when Aja was the runner-up. Jackson's time was not far off from her personal best time of 19:41 that she turned in at the National Championships last year in Massachusetts.
With her performance this weekend, Aja became a two-time NJCAA All-American, a great accomplishment. Jackson also met her personal goal of finishing in the top-15 that she set prior to the race. Congratulations Aja!
