Balanced Scoring Puts Williston State In Championship Game On Sunday

The Williston State College Tetons defeated the SUNY Broome Hornets in the second semi-final game 7-0 Saturday afternoon at the Ice Center. Williston will face off against the Erie Kats at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the NJCAA Men's National Ice Hockey Championship. The Tetons got seven goals from seven different players. The first period saw four goals, one each from Jarret Stark, Brendan Wilde, Diego Wilson and Sam Basich. Two goals in the second period came from Taylor Jones and Shain Scheschuk. The lone third period goal came unassisted from Spencer Peratalo.

Williston goalie Tanner Swift had 17 saves while Broome goalie Dustin Plumadore stopped 41 shots in net.
