3rd Period Comeback Stuns Vikings

The Hornets mounted a comeback on the ice  against Region III rival Hudson Valley on Wednesday night in the SUNY Broome Ice Center for a 6-4 win. Broome found themselves down 1-0 after the 1st period. The Vikings scored twice late in the 2nd for a 3-0 lead before sophomore captain Austin Bradish (West Chazy, NY/Beekmantown) found the back of the net on the power play assisted by Austin Campbell (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley). The Hornets trailed 3-1 midway through the 3rd before they mounted a comeback as Campbell scored two goals to tie the game at 3-3.  Freshman Ryan Norris (Rochester, NY/Hilton) intercepted a pass and broke the tie to give the Hornets their first lead of the night. Josh Maus (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) would score moments later to give Broome a two goal lead. The Vikings struck again with 2 minutes left in the game to make it a 5-4 game until Devin Laird (Farmersville, NY/Pioneer) scored on an empty net to put the game away.  

Owen Miller (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) earned his second win of the season making 35 saves. The Hornets travel to Buffalo this Saturday for a 2:55 P.M. faceoff against Erie CC.
