Ice Hockey Falls In The 2nd Annual President's Cup

The ice hockey team fell 2-1 to the Binghamton University Club Team on Thursday night at the SUNY Broome Ice Center in the 2nd Annual President's Cup. The Hornets came up short last year in the 1st Annual President's Cup against the Bearcats falling by the identical 2-1 score, all three goals came in the 1st period of that contest.  The Bearcats led 1-0 after the 1st period and found the back of the net early in the 2nd period before Kyle Latimer (Troy, MI/Troy) cut the lead in half for the final 2-1 score. Owen Miller (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) had 33 saves in goal for the host team.

The Hornets are off until next Wednesday when they travel to Utica for a 7:30 P.M. Region III contest against Mohawk Valley CC at the New Harford Recreation Center.
