Men's Lacrosse Falls In Home Opener

The men's lacrosse team opened up their 2018 season at home on Saturday against Tompkins Cortland CC with a 14-9 loss.  The Panthers (1-0) got on the board first, only to be answered by a Hornet (0-1) goal to tie it up at 1-1.  Tompkins Cortland took a 2-1 lead minutes later before Broome would  again tie it at 2-2.  From that point forward the Panthers would outlast the host team for the win.

Nicholas Pert (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) led the scoring for Broome with 3 goals and 1 assist, and Ryan Madden (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) had 13 stops in goal.  The Panther's Anthony Irizaro led all players with 7 goals and 3 assists.

The Hornets face Region III opponent Herkimer College at home next Saturday at 1:00 P.M.
