Broome player being chased downfield by opponents
vs Herkimer

The men's lacrosse team battled Herkimer College on Saturday to a tie at the end of the 3rd quarter before the Generals scored three unanswered goals in the 4th for the 7-4 win.  Broome (0-2) gained an early 2-0 advantage in the 1st quarter off a pair of Devin Weldon (Binghamton/Binghamton, NY) goals before Herkimer (1-0) would come back and tie the game at the end of the quarter.  The game continued in that fashion, remaining tied at the half, 3-3, and at the end of the 3rd, 4-4.  It was all Herkimer in the decisive 4th quarter, scoring 3 unanswered goals to seal the win for the visitors.

Broome was led in scoring by Weldon with his 2 goals, Justin Goodspeed (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) added 1 goal and 1 assist and Kenaniah Saginario (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) chipped in with a goal.  Broome goalie, Ryan Madden (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) stopped 7 of 14 shots.

The Hornets travel to Rochester to take on the NJCAA's 8th ranked Monroe CC Tribunes next Saturday, and then take on the Mercyhurst North East Saints on Sunday in North East, PA, both games scheduled for a 1:00 P.M. start.
