The baseball team split a doubleheader with the Ithaca College JV team Thursday afternoon at Hornet Field. The host team lost the first game 3-2 and won the second game 6-4. In game one Chris Osterhout (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) and Evan Karre (Vestal, NY/Vestal) combined to give up five hits and three runs in the losing effort. In game two the Hornets (6-13) scored three runs in both the first and fourth innings. Aaron Backo (Windsor, NY/Windsor), Jared Decker (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) and Karre earned the victory for the Hornets.

Broome will host Jamestown CC this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Hornet Field.
