Broome lost on Saturday to Finger Lakes CC in Canandaigua by scores of 10-4 and 15-0, and again on Sunday at home 8-4 and 9-1. 

Both contests on Saturday saw the Hornets give up one big inning to the Lakers, an 8 run third inning in game one and a 10 run fourth inning in the second game of the twinbill. Jacob Garey, Tyler Kopolow, Justin Fleming, Jamie McWherter, Tanner Russin and Nate Bennett each had a hit in the contest, Kopolow's hit was the lone extra base hit for the Hornets. Jaden Bongiorno took the loss for Broome on the mound. Garey, Kopolow and Russin each picked up a single in the second game. Mitchell Taylor took the loss, the righty lasted three innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out six.

Sunday's games, played at Chenango Valley HS, were an improvement from just 24 hours earlier. Taylor hit his second homerun of the season and Cody Lewis picked up the 8-4 loss for Broome in game one of the doubleheader . In game two the runs were a little harder to come by as the Hornets fell 9-1 to the Lakers. Russin took the loss on the mound.

Broome will play their first game on Hornet Field this Tuesday against Niagara County CC scheduled for a 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. start.
