The Hornets dropped a heartbreaker to Hudson Valley CC 3-2 on Wednesday night at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. The Hornets led 2-1 after two periods but the Vikings took the lead with a power play goal with just over 5 minutes left in the 3rd period. The Hornets offense was provided by sophomore Cory Della Stua (Pittsford, NY/Rush-Henrietta) who scored both goals. Austin Bradish (Beekmantown, NY/Beekmantown), Andrew Meeker (Rochester, NY/Hilton), and Dustin Plumadore (Plattsburgh, NY/Beekmantown) all had assists for the Hornets. Plumadore stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced.
The Hornets will travel to Elmira College this Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. faceoff against the JV team.
