The Hornet hockey team defeated Region III rival Hudson Valley 5-1 on Saturday afternoon in Troy. The Hornets led 3-0 after the first period. Austin Campbell opened the scoring on an assist by Cory Della Stua. Nicholas Frati scored the second goal of the period on assists from Kyle Bisonette and Michael Ferranti. The third goal of the period was scored by Josh Maus assisted by Cameron Dunn. Broome's only second period goal was a short handed goal scored by Ferranti on assists from Frati and Wayne Buerkle.  Ferranti had the only Hornet goal in the third period with Frati assisting.  Dustin Plumadore faced 18 shots and made 17 saves in the victory.
