Men's Ice Hockey Improves To 5-3

Broome hosted the Elmira College JV team on Wednesday evening for a non-conference contest and came out on top with a 5-2 win. Broome trailed early in the first period 1-0 before Geno DeAngelo scored on the power play to tie the game with assists going to Austin Bradish and Austin Campbell. The Hornets would score again on a power play in the second period, this time Josh Maus would tip in a Ryan Pretino shot.  Alex Whitehair also assisted on the goal. Broome wouldn't have the lead very long as Elmira scored with less than a minute left in the second period knot it at 2. The Hornets put the pressure on in the third period scoring 3 unanswered goals.  DeAngelo would score the 3rd Broome goal and the eventual game winner on a pass from Adam Sokol. Also scoring in the third period were Matthew Evans with assists going to Campbell and Cameron Dunn and the final goal was again scored on a power play by Devin Laird assisted by Ryan Corey and Bradish. Patrick Massey stopped 22 shots earning his second win of the season.  

The Hornets face the LeMoyne College Club Team on the road scheduled to start at 6:00 P.M.
