Hockey Shutout At Home

The ice hockey team was shutout by Hudson Valley CC in their first game back from the semester break on Thursday night at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. The Hornets had no answer for the Vikings right from the drop of the puck. The visitors got out to a 9-0 first period lead enroute to the 16-0 win. Austen Strauss was pulled after the first period, making 22 saves on 31 shots on goal. Brett Clow filled in for the last two periods, giving up 7 goals on 39 shots. In total, Hudson Valley dominated with 70 shots to Broome's 11.

The Hornets will travel to Buffalo on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. contest against the Erie Kats.
