Men's Soccer Blanks Mohawk Valley In The Second Half

The SUNY Broome men's soccer team shutout Mohawk Valley CC in the second half enroute to a 4-1 victory Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field in Binghamton. The Hornets out shot Mohawk 11-6, holding the Hawks to only one shot in the second half.

Mohawk's Darius Gueh struck first 28 minutes into the match before Nate Krome (Johnson City/Johnson City, NY) tied the contest 1-1 going into the half. Robbie Hoover (Vestal/Vestal, NY) netted the game winner 49 minutes into the match. Nick Riegel (Owego Free Academy/Owego, NY) secured the win with his first two goals of the season, the first coming in the 77th minute and the second coming ten minutes later.

Alex Arbes (Union-Endicott/Endicott, NY) had 4 stops in net and allowed one goal.

SUNY Broome travels to Saranac Lake, NY for a 3:00 p.m. soccer match this Saturday against North Country CC.
