Women Fall In Utica

The women's lacrosse team fell in Utica on Saturday afternoon 23-12 to Mohawk Valley CC in a Region III contest. Julia Lovaglia (Vestal, NY/Vestal) got the Hornets on the board first at the 29:50 mark with her first of four goals. Stella Safari (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) put Broome ahead 3-2 at 24:35, her first of a team-leading 5 goals, before the Hawks scored 5 unanswered goals to put them ahead for good. Gina Lovaglia (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had two goals, Chelsea Cable added 1 goal and 1 assist and Hannah Conrad (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) chipped in with 1 goal. Nicole DiRado (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had 17 saves on 40 shots.

The Hornets will return home on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. lacrosse match against the Kats from Erie CC.
