The baseball team played a doubleheader on the road on Saturday vs Niagara County CC and fell in both games, 11-1 and 12-2, respectively.

Game 1 saw the Hornets get down early after Niagara scored eight runs in the first inning. In continuing to battle back, Broome collected four hits as a team.

Trevor Dennison, Jacob McTigue, Thomas Contrata, and Kobe Dela Cruz tallied one hit each, while Jack Symons had an RBI for the only Hornets run on the game. Tyler Sienko was on the bump for Broome in game 1 and only four of the runs he allowed across 4.1 innings were earned. He also struck out four batters and walked just three.

In game 2, Broome managed four hits as a team again. Two runs were able to cross the plate for the visitors thanks to McTigue and Joseph Chermak

McTigue tallied another hit in game 1, while Sienko, Joseph Miller, and Nicholas Ragonese added the other three. Thomas Ricci started the game on the mound and pitched two innings, striking out one. Peyton Farrell entered in relief and pitched 2.1 innings, striking out two.

Broome continued its aggressive baserunning over the weekend, swiping seven bases over the two games.
