The men's basketball team dropped their opener on the road to Penn State Wilkes-Barre 104-58 on Tuesday night. The Hornets started out strong, besting the Mountain Lions 7-6 in the first 4 1/2 minutes of play. before the length and athleticism of Wilkes-Barre took over leading to multiple turnovers for the Hornets. 

Jean Senatus, the 6'5 Freshman forward for the Hornets, had a strong performance against a tough Mountain Lion front line. Senatus scored 12 points to lead Broome while shooting 50% from the field, he also added 8 rebounds and 4 blocks to his totals. Andrew Charles, one of few Sophomore's for the Hornets, performed well despite limited minutes due to foul trouble. In 18 minutes Charles scored 10 points on 75% shooting from the field while adding 5 rebounds. Tyace Thompson was a bright spot on the defensive side of the ball for the Hornets contributing 3 steals and applying aggressive on ball pressure. Thompson also scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds in only 13 minutes of play.
 
Up next is an 8:00 P.M. game against another PA team, Northampton CC from Bethlehem, in the Baldwin Gymnasium this Thursday.
