The men's cross country team will compete in the 2023 MSAC Championship Meet on Saturday hosted by Corning CC. 

The meet will take place at a venue separate from Corning's campus called The Y at Watson Woods. The men will race at 10:45 a.m. and run a distance of five miles (eight km). 

Broome is in search of its fourth straight Mid-State Athletic Conference Championship win. The Hornets won the title in 2019, and after the meet was not held in 2020, Broome is coming off back-to-back championships in 2021 and 2022. At least year's MSAC XC Championship, the team placed five runners in the top 10 of the race, including three of the first four overall finishers. 

Following their 2022 win at the MSAC meet, Broome would also take home the title at the Region III Championship Meet. The Hornets are striving for a similar fortune this year, beginning on Saturday at The Y at Watson Woods.
