Men's cross country competed at the Region 3 XC Championships on Saturday, finishing in 4th place, led by Joseph Chermak.

Chermak was the first Broome runner to finish the race, logging a top-10 finish at 7th overall. Chermak ran the 8K in a time of 30:01.1. His effort was a leading factor in the team's 4th place finish at the regional meet.

Cole Farley was next for the Hornets with a top-20 finish and a time of 33:14.0. Jesse Smith and Aidan Cavanaugh each finished in the top-30 of the race, logging respective times of 36:13.9 and 37:29.1. Samuel LaBare rounded out the scoring for Broome with a top-40 placing and a time of 45:09.3

In a successful meet for Broome, all five of the Hornets' runners turned in their personal best times for the season, an outcome that every coach hopes for in the final meet of the season.

Chermak was also named to the All-Region 3 Team after the race. He will next compete in the NJCAA Division III Men's XC National Championships race at 12:00 p.m. on November 11 in Huntsville, Alabama.
