The women's basketball team fell to the NJCAA's 5th ranked, and Region III's top ranked Fulton Montgomery Raiders, 83-41, on Saturday afternoon in the Baldwin Gym. The afternoon also acknowledged four members of the Women's Basketball team for their contribution to SUNY Broome Intercollegiate Athletics for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Seasons. Megan Carden, Melissa Carden, Gwendolyn Payne and Ava Eichler were all honored at center court for their hard work on the court and in the classroom the past two seasons.

The Raiders jumped out to a 23-10 first quarter lead and never looked back. Ghia Medovich led the Hornets with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

In a display of sportsmanship by the Raider's coaching staff and players the Hornets got the opening tip and Eichler hit an open 3-pointer as she has done many times over the past two seasons, before being removed from the contest.

Broome travels to Buffalo on Wednesday for a 5:00 P.M. tip against Villa Maria College, a private Roman Catholic college.
