Women's Volleyball Goes 1-2 In Home POD Play

The Hornets opened up POD play on Saturday at home with a convincing win against Mohawk Valley CC 3-0, (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) but fell short against Herkimer County CC 0-3, (15-25, 15-25, 4-25) and SUNY Delhi 3-1, (25-15, 25-13, 16-25, 25-19). 

In the MVCC match the Hornets were led by Jessica Hubbard 4 aces, Jenna Dood 16 digs, Marissa Pierce 3 blocks, Ciara Campagna 20 assists and Caitlin Axtell 6 kills.

In the HCCC match the Hornets were led by Johanna Stark 1 ace, Dodd 8 digs, Hubbard 3 blocks, Campagna 4 assists and Chelsea Graham 4 kills.

In the final match against Delhi the Hornets were led by Graham 5 aces, Graham 11 digs, Hubbard 3 blocks, Nicole Weeks 13 assists and Graham 6 kills. 

The Hornets (4-6; 3-6) host Tompkins-Cortland CC Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. in the West Gym.
