Volleyball Picks Up Three Wins On Saturday

Broome defeated Herkimer College, Fulton Montgomery and Mohawk Valley on Saturday in Johnstown to improve to 13-3 on the season.  

The first match was a tight five set match against Herkimer with set scores or 20-25, 25-18, 27-25, 17-25, 15-7.  Savannah Davis had 21 kills, 19 digs and 3 blocks, Kylee Cunningham had 15 kills and 18 digs while Abigail Rose had 19 digs.  Brianna Kosinski totaled 44 assists and 7 kills, and Alexandra Bachura had 8 blocks.

The second match was straight set win over Mohawk Valley with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-19.  Davis had 11 kills, Kosinski had 27 assists and 7 aces.  Macayla Greco had 8 kills and Madison Hadfield added 6 kills with both players hitting a .500 percentage.  Rose added 13 digs and Bachura had 4 blocks.

The third match of the day was a 3-0 win over the host team, Fulton-Montgomery, with set scores 25-18, 25-18, 25-9.  Davis had 17 kills, 2 aces, and 12 digs, Rose had 19 digs and Kosinski had 36 assists, 7 kills, 9 digs.  Cunningham added 7 kills and 11 digs and Hadfield had 2 blocks.

Broome travels to Canandaigua on Wednesday for a MSAC match against Finger Lakes CC beginning at 6:00 P.M..
