Volleyball Falls In MSAC Finals

The women's volleyball team opened up the MSAC Tournament with a sweep of Finger Lakes CC before falling in the Final to Jefferson CC, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in Watertown.  Prior to the start of the tournament, Savannah Davis, Brianna Kosinski, and Jessica Dye were named to the All-Conference team and Coach Maegen Eddinger was named Coach of the Year.

Broome won the semifinal against Finger Lakes 3-0 with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.  Davis had 21 kills and 17 digs, Kylee Cunningham had 24 digs, Madison Hadfield had 7 kills and Kosinski had 36 assists.

In the finals, Broome lost to Jefferson in straight sets with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.  Davis, Cunningham, and Macayla Greco all had 4 kills,  Cunningham and Kosinski had 17 digs apiece and Kosinski had 15 assists.

The Hornets will travel to Sanborn next weekend for the start of the Region III Division III Volleyball Championship hosted by Niagara County CC.
