Volleyball Improves To 17-6

Broome went 2-1 over the weekend at the Tompkins Cortland POD in Dryden.

Broome dropped the first match of the day to Jamestown 3-1.  After winning first set 25-20, the Hornets dropped the next three 25-21, 25-22, 25-12.  Macayla Greco had 7 kills, Brianna Kosinski had 7 kills, 25 assists, 2 aces and 17 digs, Kylee Cunningham added 24 digs and Alexandra Bachura had 8 blocks.

The Hornets swept the second match of the day 3-0, with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 over Niagara County CC.  Cunningham had 12 kills and Greco had 9, Kosinski totaled 32 assists and 6 aces, Jessica Dye contributed 16 digs, and Madison Hadfield had 2 blocks and 4 kills.

The last match of the day was another straight set win over Erie CC by set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-15.  Cunningham had 12 kills, 24 digs and 5 aces, Greco had 11 kills, Marissa Cuozzo added 21 digs, Kosinski totaled 29 assists, and Bachura had 6 blocks. 

Next weekend Broome will travel to Syracuse for the Cara Bryant Tournament hosted by Onondaga CC.
