The men's lacrosse team fell 8-5 Sunday afternoon to Herkimer College in a Region III contest played at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium. The Hornets got on the scoreboard first on a defensive goal from Salen Turkovic (Binghamton, NY / Binghamton) before the Generals would answer and tie it up at 1-1 going into the half. Jack Maczko (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and Joshua Bradford (Johnson City, NY / Johnson City) each had a goal coming out of halftime but Herkimer controlled much of the 3rd quarter outscoring the hornets 6-2. Broome was unable to mount the comeback in the 4th quarter despite two goals from freshman Jimmy Zervos (Binghamton, NY / Binghamton).

The Hornets drop to 1-1 and travel to Utica on Thursday for another Region III game against Mohawk Valley CC scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Proctor High School.
