Broome Falls On The Road

The baseball team fell to Onondaga CC 8-3 in game one and were shutout in game two 11-0 on Sunday afternoon. In the first game of the twinbill the Lazers got out to an early 8-0 lead before the Hornets put together a 3-run sixth inning. Broome's Zachary Tripp had two of the four hits given up by Corning's Aaron Beck. Richie Bittles ended up on the losing side of the decision, giving up 6 runs on 7 hits while striking out 4.
Game two wasn't much different for the Hornets, falling 11-0. This time it was Kyle Legenhausen who picked up two of the Hornets four hits. Matthew Bowman was charged with the loss, allowing 8 runs on 6 hits in 4 1/3 innings.
Broome is off until Saturday when they return home to face Jamestown CC in a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m.
