Men's Basketball Team Falls On The Road
The men's basketball team fell on the road Saturday afternoon 81-68 in Syracuse against SUNY ESF. The first half saw many lead changes with the Hornets going into halftime leading 35-31 matching the largest lead of the half. SUNY Broome led by 7 points with at the 12 minute mark before ESF cut it to 2 points 3 minutes later. SUNY ESF went on a 12-4 run over the next 5 minutes to secure the win.
Jovanni Chatham (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) filled the stat line with 20 points 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and three blocks. Anthony Guerrero (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) had 7 points and 12 boards, Chavis Pigott (Brooklyn, NY/Peekskill) added 13 points and Branden Black (Harlem, NY/Promise Academy) notched 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
The men return home Tuesday evening for an 8:00 p.m. tipoff against crosstown rival Davis College.
