Hornets End 3-Game Skid

The men's basketball team ended a 3-game skid with a 76-63 win over Cayuga CC on Thursday night in the Baldwin Gymnasium. The Hornets improved to 6-9 overall and 1-3 in the MSAC.

The Hornets took a 34-31 lead into the half due in part to a balanced team effort that saw all five starters in double digits. Jovanni Chatham (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) led with 18 points, Anthony McNeil (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) had 16 points and 12 rebounds, Dashown Nelson (Brooklyn, NY/HS of Telecom. Arts & Technology) added 15 points and 11 boards, Chavis Pigott (Brooklyn, NY/Peekskill) had 11 points and Anthony Guerrero (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) chipped in with 10 points and 10 boards. William Mason had 10 rebounds and helped secure the victory with 4 points late in the game.
The men travel to Corning, NY this Wednesday for a MSAC game against the Red Barons scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m.
