Men's Basketball Comes From Behind For Win

The men's basketball team came from behind to defeat Jamestown CC-Olean 73-59 Wednesday night in the Baldwin Gym. The Hornets trailed the Jaguars by one at the half and by five with thirteen minutes left in the game before going on a 12-2 run. During that run Anthony Guerrero (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) and Anthony McNeil (Gresham, SC/Union-Endicott) controlled the boards at both ends of the floor. Branden Black (Harlem, NY/Promise Academy) and Ishtiaq Ahmad (Brooklyn, NY/Park Slope Collegiate) gave the Hornets a much needed lift in second half. Jovanni Chatham (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) led all scorers with 29 points and all of Dashown Nelson's 12 points came in the second half.

The Hornets are now 2-1 and travel to Schenectady County CC on Friday for a scheduled 7:00 p.m. game against the Royals.
