Men's Soccer Drops Opener

Broome dropped their season opener to #7 Mowhawk Valley CC 4-0 in a Region III match played in Utica on Wednesday evening. The experienced Hawks took a 1-0 in the 20th minute and never looked back. Michael Repp had the lone shot for the Hornets while Jacob Weibel led a strong back line in the defeat. Mohawk dominated Broome with a 29-1 advantage in shots and 7-1 in corner kicks. Payton Taylor finished with 10 saves in goal. 

The NJCAA's 7th ranked Hawks improved to 1-1 and the Hornets fell to 0-1 on the young season. Broome looks to bounce back on Saturday, September 11th at Niagara County CC with a scheduled start time of 3:00 PM.
