The men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season in Sanborn on Saturday against Niagara CCC, 2-1.  The Region III match saw Broome finally get their breakthrough goal in the 42nd minute after much pressure by the Thunderwolves. Luke Taylor picked up his first of the season courtesy of a Michael Repp assist. The well worked corner created that opportunity and the 1-0 halftime lead.

The second half was much like the first. Broome notched their second goal in the 79th minute when Dontai Greenwood converted a through ball by Damien Terrell to make it 2-0. Niagara scored late but the goal by Greenwood preserved the victory for the visiting Hornets. Connor Richmond picked up the win in net, stopping 8 out of the 9 shots on goal.

Broome improved to 1-1 on the season while Niagara fell to 1-3. The Hornets are back on the road this coming Wednesday in a MSAC match against Jefferson CC in Watertown, kickoff at 4:00 PM.
