Men Pick Up MSAC Road Win In Watertown

Broome earned a 4-1 road victory at Jefferson CC in a conference match played in Watertown on Wednesday evening. Four different Hornets found the nets, three of them coming in the first half. Lee Lowery opened the scoring in the 17th minute off a cross from Luke Taylor. Taylor added to his earlier assist in the 25th minute with a goal of his own, assist by Noah Lavelle. Damien Terrell added to the lead after a deflection in the box bounced to him in the 27th minute for the 3-0 halftime lead.

Broome opened the second half with a goal in the 48th minute by Dontai Greenwood, with the assist going to Anthony Palonis. The Cannoneers got on the scoreboard in the 85th minute to avoid the shutout by the Hornets. Connor Richmond had another strong game in goal for the Hornets, finishing with 8 saves and stopping his second PK in as many games.

The Hornets return home to Alumni Field this Sunday for a Region III game against the Raiders from Fulton Montgomery CC, scheduled for a 3:00 P.M. start.
