The men's soccer team ended a three game losing streak with a 2-0 win in Orchard Park on Saturday in a Region III match against Erie CC. Aiden Birchard scored his first collegiate goal in the second minute of play after beating the Kats keeper. Shortly after, the Hornets keeper Payton Taylor came up with a big stop in net on a Kats break away.

The second half began with Broome up 1-0, and much like the first half the contest saw both teams in a hard fought battle to net the ball. Taylor preserved the Hornet lead with another point blank save that led to a full field solo effort goal from Jacob Waibel in the 77th minute. Broome improved to 3-4 with the road win while Erie dropped to 1-6.

The Hornets head out west again this Wednesday to Batavia for a Region III match against against Genesee CC, scheduled for a 6:30 kickoff.
