The Hornets picked up a MSAC win Wednesday evening in Dryden against Tompkins Cortland CC, 2-0. Dontai Greenwood scored a brace for the Hornets. Greenwood's first goal came in the 19th minute of play off a beautiful through ball from teammate Lee Lowry giving Broome the 1-0 halftime lead.

Greenwood again found the back of the net in the 68th minute to seal the game for the visitors with a low curving shot that found the inside of the far post, courtesy of an assist from Michael Repp and Noah Lavelle. Payton Taylor picked up the shutout in goal with five saves on the day. The Hornets (4-6) held a slim margin in shots over the Panthers (1-6) as well as a 9-5 advantage in corners.

Broome will close out the regular season at home next Wednesday with a 4:00 P.M. start against Finger Lakes CC in another MSAC soccer match.
